A Rare and Rewarding Return to a Completed Project:

This morning, we had the rare privilege of revisiting one of our completed projects—now fully operational and making a real difference in people's lives.

In 2024, Wilton completed the transformation of an industrial warehouse in Bristol into a state-of-the-art Ambulance Base for SoNar, WATCh, and Retrieve, working alongside Stretto Architects. The three services have been working collaboratively from the new Ambulance Base for a year now and invited Wilton along with NHS representatives and the media to visit the facilities.

Before this project, I had little awareness of the life-saving services that these branches of the ambulance service provide —perhaps like many others who have never needed them. But today, meeting the dedicated teams behind them and hearing firsthand from families who have relied on their expertise was truly humbling.

We were also honoured to hear from Ingrid Barker, Joint Chair of North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW), and to take a tour of the incredible new facilities.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.

Seeing the impact it has on people when they need it most is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
